Thumbs up

Just got back to the computer after being away a couple of days. G&G seems to be on a very positive note, still. Jimkim made a very insightful and helpful comment in the initial post on this thread. I believe the majority of other members here support his points, too. It's with members like him that Gunandgame.com has become the friendliest gun forum on the web, and I intend to help Chris in any possible to help it stay that way.

Some of you have either PM'd me...or sent me emails with various questions or comments. That is ok with me. I try to respond to any questions asked, or heads'up that you might point out, as quickly as possible.

Regarding banning...Chris has set up various tools for Moderators to use to assist this site. It should be used as a tool of last resort, only when the member is completely out of line and seriously violates the g&g forum rules of use or conduct. Personally, I have only used that tool a couple of times...and that was in chat when a couple of members were basically too inmature to be there, according to their statements.

I will be off gunandgame.com for the next two days, too, because of my brother's triple bypass a couple of days ago. So...I'll be driving to Wichita, KS and will be checking back in here on either Sunday night...Monday. Hope every one continues to stay cool here and will help Chris continue to make this site what it is...The top gun site on the web.

Best wishes during your absence, Oxford, especially for your brother. I'll try to "straighten up and fly right" while you're gone.

Thanks kygunsmith! He loves to deer hunt, as well as build and work on sand rails which he rides in western OK. That'll be his biggest motive while he's recovering. The operation went well and now he's facing a month of totally no activity...before the next step to recovery. I suppose there's members here who have had heart by-passes that could really enlighten me on this situation.

Jimkim...I'm sorry for taking this thread on a sidebar temporarily.

Sorry members but if a rebuttal is nessisary that contains a religious content I'm going to have my say.

Lets don't blow this out of purportion the thread in question got miles off topic and when Gays were metioned I made comment of a Christians view and what the Bible says.

So far, I've only come across one pie fight here, and it was kinda my fault, but I really DO think people should use paragraphs.

If I have one complaint here, it's that most of the folks here seem to be novices at best with firearms, but still try to advise others. I just try to help point them in the right direction.

I'd rather talk with people that aren't experts, but really enjoy the learning experience than pseudo experts that have to condescend and insult everyone that doesn't know as much as they do.

This is quickly becoming my favorite site. If anyone needs some help, feel free to give me a holler. If I don't know the answer, I can probably find it.

"this is a paragraph, one which either explains a situation, poses a question, provides an answer or even describes a position held by it's author" Breaks and proper punctuation go far towards eliminating misunderstanding as do the proper use of emoticons. A paragraph should normally only confront one thought process or idea or even an offer towards debate and normally should not be used to to extend more than one thought/opinion. This is of course very open to debate by those holding degrees in lit or english . But I welcome their input as eagerly as is possible.
