A Looker

Ran into a real looker today. She's a 1930 Izhevsk M91/30 Hex. Nothing fantastic, but she had a beautiful stock, a reall nice one! She has two Izhevsk stamped bands, Bolt head, bolt body, cocking piece, buttplate, and magazine. Matching numbers except buttplate. Brass handguard ends, and the brass screw type sling escutcheons. Just a well put together dame. I put a little cash down to hold her, while I creatively come up with the balance.

I hope I can pull the money out of a hat! She is $145. M91/30's just went up from $130 around here. In keeping with what I see online however! She's a sweety! I don't really want another M91/30, but whoever does?? LOL

Glock- What they hey are you waiting on? You're gonna be one of those guys that waits too long and comes up empty! What in the world, besides a few coins prevents you from picking up a M44 for example? I have missed the boat on a few beauties because I was broke when they came along. But not to have even one? Come on!

The m44's are going up in price every day and the 91x30's seem to be getting cheaper ,what the heck is going on??
I guess I have to move to alaska to be able to afford those nice 1930 models hehe

I know what you mean about prices. They seem to be all over the place. M38s locally are going for 149 plus tax. 91/30s can still be had for 70 plus tax. I found a couple of beauties yesterday but not good enough to come home. 91/30s izzys. early ww2 dates. Wanted too much for them.

I personally am beginning to like the 91/30s better than the m44s. Seem to balance better in my hands. I will make a judgment on the m38 tomorrow when I shoot mine.

Hey tex, what are you complaining about? We can't get any M38s here in the stores, the gun shops want $160 for M44s, and it's not unheard-of for decent - not great - 91/30s to be closing on $200. The Izzy 1926 round unissued I scored was an anomaly at $129. I really think the store owner didn't realize what he had. Thank goodness for the C&R license!

Marion if I could light a fire under the BATF I would! Maybe I could get you to go have a little talk with them for me! It has almost been 90 days now.

CY, I ain't trying to complain too much. I appreciate what we have around here and the fact that although we are just shy of PRK or PRNY, the place is still run by liberals. I feel for you all though. There is WWAAAYYYY too much hassle for you all to own what you have a constitutional right to own. But, at least you can get a concealed hangun permit if I understand correctly. We are one of the two states left in the country that does not have a CCW law.

Good greif I must live under a star took me 21 days!! Are you all jealous now ?LOL
In missouri if your not in a city that bans it you can carry a pistol as long as its in plain view no permit no nothing!!If its prohibitit it has to be posted such as a bank or public place.
I will stay in missouri !!!

Don't feel bad Tex! My C&R took FOUR months! While we have a CCW permit process here it is not required in the state. It is just to take advantage of other states that have a reciprocating law with Alaska. If you are legal to own a handgun, then it is legal to carry one concealed. You cannot carry it on a school ground, into a premises that serves liquor, into any State or Fed Building or other Posted premises.

I want to move to ALaska. Although shipping charges....

Marion that is the funny thing about up here. If the area does not specifically ban it I can carry a belt pistol in plain view anywhere I want to carry it. Down main street, into the grocery store, but not the court house of a school. But put a pistol in your pocket while you are deer hunting on your own land and you go to jail!
