Quit job today.

I quit my job today, finish on thursday..

I start a new job the following tuesday

What a concept.. I used to head for the gutter anytime I quit a job in my younger days, this time I`m moving up the food chain.

I sent a resume` off to an advertisment. The gave me a call, arranged a time to meet and the guy spent 2.5 hours nearly talking me into coming to work for them, geez it was flattering to be wanted.

Its more hours ( bout 65 a week, but you don`t have a gun at your head, where I was I had to do it, and then it wasn`t regular like this job, O/T every week. )

50 cents an hour more. Woot.. But that adds up with penalty rates.

Way and I mean ( WAY! ) better gear.

Sad part is, I`ve thought of selling my handguns. I need to use them to keep them ( part of the licencing: compete or give it up )

I`m struggling to find time. I might buy a progessive press to punch out ammo, I dunno.

Either that, or go hog wild ( Bill Style ) buying guns with my new found wealth.

Don't want to hear about you selling your handguns! How much time do you need to compete? To me,handgun shooting is more natural and freestyle than other firearms.Of course I always Shot that way, usually one handed, pull, point, and fire.Hope everything works out for you. sam.

I know how you feel mate,im thinking seriously about selling all mine. Its a pain in the arse that you have to shoot matches to keep them, then you arent allowed to hunt with them. What a crock if shit.

I quite liked shooting comps, I simpley don`t have the time.

I hadn`t even opened the safe in months, I did on the weekend just to see if everything was still there.

Spose I gotta make time... Closest I`ll get to hunting is if I go out west over easter and check on my shooting wagon.

There`ll be shooters on site so it`ll just be kick the tyres, take it for a run and then 550klm home again without firing a shot.

I took it out there xmas before last, and I`ve never used it.

Stupid work...

Congratulations on the new job JR. I hope it all works out for ya mate.

LOL mate, it would be pretty hard to find worse gear than you are on now wouldnt it? Better gear makes the day go ALOT quicker (and makes you feel a bit better about getting up in the morning and going back the next day).
