Here's what the OP needs. I ran across it a few minutes ago. Pretty good deal on a 2000 model. My buddy sold his 1998 a about a year ago for 9,000 with the same miles.

4X4 Frontier trucks gas mileage is not anywhere near the posted miles per gallon on the window sticker.

Have you tried test driving Tacomas? They're excellent vehicles.

I get 22mpg with my Silverado Diesel. Its great mileage for a 3/4 ton crew cab 4x4, but not at the price of diesel fuel. As has been pointed out, stick with the F-150. you can get alot of fuel for the price difference.

How many mpg are you seeing out of the f-150. I imagine with a 35 gallon tank you can sure drive a loooong way.

I think I'm getting around 15 city and 19 highway.....that 35.6 gallon gas tank hurts to fill up!

I do mostly city driving...a few trips to Cabela's in Dundee every month and 3 times maybe to the inlaws in Willard,OH

City driving eats up the gas!
