Well I decided to try my hand at making a stock for my 10/22. The idea popped in my head and I decided to run with it. I made this from scraps lying around and it's held together with gorrilla glue. I did mess up on the foregrip as I forgot it account for my 25rd mags. I think I may end up cutting it down some and re-shaping it...I'll have to plan it out a bit and see if it's workable. Anyway, any input is welcomed. Oh and I haven't put any kind of finish on it at all. When I do I was thinking of staining it with something lying around and putting some kind of clear coat on top of that maybe.
btw the barrel is free floating and there's enough room to put larger barrels on.
good job it looks good exept the color if it was me i would put some wood stain on it to try and darken it a little but looks like its cut nicely! and besidedes if it shoots good and you can kill somthen with it its good!

Reason: needed to add some stuff!!!!
need some little tweeking but i like it! id like to see how a cheek rest looks on that. maybe a larger arch an the bottom half of the shouldershock. just give my opinion. looks good.
I think what I'll end up doing is cutting the foregrip off along with a good bit of the arch it's attached to. Then I'll make another foregrip with my lathe and attach it with a nice long screw from the top. Should work.
theres a fancy wood clay (like on my shotgun in the weatherby file) that you can just put on their and squeeze so then your grips fit your hand perfectly.

I prefer a round grip because it allows me to grip it from any angle and still feel the same. Also my hands are bigger than a lot of people's so it would probably be uncomfortable for others.
So I'm updating now! She's finished! I cut down the foregrip a bit to allow for the 25rd mags and shaped the thumbhole a bit better as well as rounded the grip more. It fits me GREAT! I love it! I then put a stain on it and a coat of polyurethane on top of that.
