I can get into anything except classical, opera, or rap \hip-hop. My favorites are blues, Tx. (Americana) music ie: Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Lyle Lovett, etc.., classic rock, and old country.

Ray Stevens. God bless him! He was as much a part of my youth as Bill Cosby. Two great Americans!

Bro: Bob 4 weeks ago due to a Thread that I don't even remember the name, I thought I would post this Ray Stevens song to try to lighten up the Thread. LOL
I tried to post this same one and couldn't.
Thank you feller this is one of my many favorites...The children singing in the beginning always brings tears to my eyes, just like now Thanks A.H

Why can't we all be like the people in the video and love each other.

From Billy Joel ... I'm sure this will bring out some memories...

This reminds me of the TV show "Tour of Duty" when I said I'd never join the military... Well, as a 15 year Veteran I guess I was only kidding myself.

The Rolling Stones ...

I'm so confused... What kind of music do I like? I thought country was the only kind of music there was. Is that not true?!?!?!

I kid (sort of); the music I like changes with my mood, although I listen to country (old and new) 97.4392 percent of the time.

Martina McBride is my absolute favorite female singer; Sugarland and Sara Evans are close seconds.

Male singer is a little more blury. Alan Jackson, George Strait, Brad Paisley, Hank Jr., Garth, Brooks and Dunn and Kenny Chesney get equal play on my computer.

I love all country music, although it's true that today's country is basically pop from a few years ago.

I like other kinds of music, but I get turned off by the message of many songs. I like country because many of the songs (not all, but most) are fairly wholesome/clean in message.

Well being raised in Oklahoma, I was raised on C&W. Vince Gill was born in the same hospital as two of my daughters.

I'm raising my son on country. He and his friends are starting to get into music (he's 7); I don't let them listen to any of that pop/rap crap around me, unless it has a clean message. I can't believe some of the lyrics to *some* of that stuff...and some parents I know let their little kids listen to it. It's wrong.

Vince Gill, huh? I think he's a great guy and musically, is extremely talented. But he never just did much for me...never really listened to him. Guess it's the pitch of his voice. My wife never cared much for him either.

Grew up in the 60s. All the Doo Wop. I'm a real WWII, 40s buff. Good will junkie, check all LP albums people turn in. Found a pristine Kate Smith (White Cliffs of Dover). Longine Syphonetts. Wife got me a turntable where I can record onto computer and burn onto CD. Found LP album of Winston Churchills fanous speeches. I can put that on with headphones and shut my eyes and put myself back into England in 1940.

I like everything including classical. I couldn't pick anything as clearly best. Nowadays when I play, it's usually bluegrass or older country, but that's what bands around here are playing. I do like blues pretty well.

I like just about everything out there. I even like some(a very small percentage) of rapish. Most of it though I despise. I also don't like jazz very much.
