Senator Clinton said recently that she landed near Tuzla in the former Yugoslavia "under sniper fire."
She has been ridiculed by everyone from the Washington Post to the comedian Sinbad.
While insisting this was a combat zone and so forth, a campaign spokesman on a conference call today conceded that "in her book, she writes of sniper fire in the hills and ... she meant to say that.
After insisting for days that her account had been accurate, they have now conceded that she meant to say something different.
This admission comes after some news organizations have found video of her landing and being greeted by a young child, which obviously conflicts with Clinton's account of running for the motorcade "under sniper fire."

Hey, it sounded good, and she forgot about all the cameras around that day. Didn't realize that someone might just remember all the action going on when she landed. I would never have taken MY children into a combat zone. Did she forget that Chelsea was there with her, or that Chelsea would back her story? What kind of mother does that make her?
What I was getting at is a mother who would knowingly take her child into a combat zone, or think that child would go along with a lie, just ain't much of a mother. Is that the kind of person we want to lead this country? Anyone who says yes should go see a doctor!

I completely agree... not much of a mother, never mind much of a presidential candidate when caught lying in a book, on camera, etc. ... than characterizing it as "I mis-spoke" ... no, you lied, Hillary, plain and simple.
She knew she wasn't heading to a combat zone at the airport, thus the daughter accompanying her. She also knew she wasn't landing under sniper fire... thus the photo-op with the little girl & poem contrary to running into armored vehicles to speed out of the area.
She's just as bad as Bill, if not worse. Do we really want another Clinton in the White House to bring even more shame to that building?
Enough... no more Clinton family, no more Bush family. We don't need more lies & cover-ups, nor do we need another war.

7mm, don't get folks upset over belief! I don't care if folks believe in the frog prince, so long as they don't try to make me bend to their belief. But by golly, if you want to run this country, believe in IT, and respect it as the only nation in the world that defends your rights 24/7!!! That means covering your heart for the Anthem, not scratching your crotch. We have members on here that have different beliefs, but are one with us because we share the same beliefs in our country, and our rights as American citizens.

religion does not bother me as much as Obama wanting to become our leader and doesn't even have the balls to cover his heart during the Pledge or the National Anthem and people want him as president of the United States. How un-American can you get
