I was an electronic calibration tech. I hated engineers. They would always tell you they could not give up their instruments for calibration as they were ALWAYS in use. Once you pried it from them, it would sit there finished for days, they would not pick it up. Guess it was never ALWAYS in use.

My first reloading round was the 30 cal.. carbine. Found brass with Berdin primers. Read article how to deprime by filling case with water, use dial pin same size diameter as inside of casing, take a BFH (Army slang- Big %#@&(*$ Hammer) and pound away to blow primer out of back of case. Use reamer to take crimp out of primer pocket. The few that I reloaded worked fine and didn't have to drill hole in primer pocket. Got everything good and wet but what the heck, it was a learning experience.

Also don't try to reload Blaser ammo its alum. case is not reloadable (and I think they have a berdan type primer also.) Another reason not to reload Berdan is you can't find any primers. I tried for months and gave up. old west scrounger, Graf, and several others had none.
