A Catch 22 for sure. If I work a second job to afford the guns, I don't have as much free time to shoot them.

Gotta start buying more lottery tickets.

Actually, if you get a second job, it'll raise my retirement check some !! Or you could just send me 3% directly.

WISCSHOOTER:
Following my 'last gun' in March-the SKS-my wife looked like she needed a 'shrink' last week when I told her that a second MN 44 could be a very early Christmas gift from her.
She stared out at some invisible object and slowly dropped and rolled her head, but was not angry.
Imagine a confused but tranquilized Linda Blair in "the Exorcist", who just stares and falls into a semi-hypnotic state.

No kidding about this.

But tell a wife or girlfriend who misses 'the big picture' that you could easily spend very much more on casinos and/or seedy "titty bars", and all of that money is gone-not so with guns, unless they rust really fast or get damaged etc. And you won't pick up any contagious disease, if you know what I mean. Can women catch Mosinitis or SKSitis?

TA-DA!
Steve has finally found someone willing to send him Mosins!

And a good thing, too! I saw an article the other day giving the prices of things like bread, milk and gas in Alaska.

I never thought you'd find a Texan feeling sorry for an Alaskan...

Steve never could spell... They give him a Czech to give him energy - a redhead, I suppose - and he's been bouncing Czechs all over the place...

He needs the Personal Floatation Device to swim the Bering Strait and come back with more Mosins. There's a method to his madness. Or is it a madness to his method?

OK, I forgot you Outsiders wouldn't know. Permanent Fund Dividend. An annual check issued in October to every man, women, and child here from oil revenues that are invested on our behalf. There's a rumor it might be close to $2000 this year. Our Governor also issued a one time Energy Relief check, due out in October as well, for $1200 for every resident.

According to what my daughter told me the other night those checks for the three of them should just about cover her fuel oil bill for the upcoming winter in North Pole. Yep, North Pole. Think Fairbanks and you're just about there. Bet the moose in the back yard disappear when the season starts and my son-in-law doesn't get one of them either.
