300 rounds 7.62X54R for $55.00.

Found this and I'm not sure if it's a good price on it or not. Figured I'd post the link just in case for all you Mosin shooters.

300 Rds. 7.62x54r 182 - Gr. Fmj Ammo, Rifle Ammunition, Military/Surplus at Sportsman's Guide

I also put the link in the ammunition forum to make sure as many see it as possible...

If you e-mail them with the link to J&GSALES.COM Sportsmans will match their price of 45$ and shipping will be $10.00 less than J&G, so you pay only $55.00 after shipping.

A member to what? Sportsman will match the price even if you are not a member. I was not a member when I ordered my first 2 orders in which they price matched the ammo.

I'm not sure if they are corrosive or not, I believe it is. I just know the many Mosin shooters are always in need of ammo and looking for bargains. Wasn't sure if it was or not but wanted to try and help if I could by posting the link...

AIM Bulgarian 7.62x54R Heavy Ball Yellow Tip Bulgarian 7.62x54R Heavy Ball Yellow Tip
50 less rounds for a few bucks less I would rate this at a simular savings. This is where I got my 300 round can for 50 bucks, seems they are out of the 300 and are selling the 250 round cans, cant beat either price tho. They are both Bulgarian.

Treat all ammo through your Mosin as if it's corrosive and don't worry about it. It's only an extra 5-10 minutes at the range or where ever you shoot.

Lots of places charge 20+ bucks for shipping for the Ammo so keep that in mind. SportsmansGuide shipping is based on purchase price and not on weight ( a few exceptions of course). I bought 300 rnds of the Bulgarian ammo plus 300 rnds of Wolf .223 and my total shipping was like $14.00.

I get all kinds of stories from the phone operaters. Make sure to send an e-mail if you want an accurate awnser about Price match. They will credit your card after you buy the product at the higher price, usually takes about 2 days. I saved 20 bucks from price matches on a past order. I am a member now and since you always get sent $10.00 coupons I have a hard time finding anything cheaper.

I'm heading up to J&G this Saturday for an ammo run, and a spare M44 (for mounting in the Richards stock). Looks like the FEG63's are all gone so that's out, but you never know what's in the store.

Just keep in mind that brass (even Bulgarian) is worth $$$. So you can get a little of the ammo money back.

tbb, I only get up there about twice a year, but it is fun to handle (fondle if you will) this stuff in person. I'm not going to equate it to sex... however...

Ask them to send you the flier... SOG and AIM as well.
