This thread just makes me wanta dip snuff!! I'm mad and don't know who to yell at, and that makes it even more frustrating! The station owners can't do anything about it, so I leave them alone. But dang it, it'd help if I could target the right bastid!!!!!

The U.S Government makes more money off a gallon of gasoline than anyone in the whole chain. 18.4 cents per gallon. They are the big winner and they haven't invested a dime in the process. By the way, how many gallons of gasoline can be made with a 55 gallon barrel of crude?

Unhappy

Saw a Shell station here charging $3.54 for reg.
The folks in the "know" say it is because our doller is falling in value like a rock.
If this be the case,by the time the sell out is over our buck won't be worth much.

Am I the only one sick of all these predictions that it will go up? Frankly they seem to be self fulfilling prophecies.

Sure, keep jacking up the prices. We'll keep finding ways to use less until we don't need any at all. Meanwhile all the dollars the fatcats raked in won't mean much because they'll have inflated the prices on everything.

AMEN and I'm actually glad someone finally beat me to it for a change!

What I can't stand is these whiny, snot-nosed, P.O.S. political types who dare to "grill" oil company execs before Congress for making so much money when THE GOVERNMENT MAKES MORE IN TAXES THAN THE OIL COMPANIES MAKE IN PROFITS!!! Don't even get me started on the "windfall profits" taxes. And a certain Senator from NY says, "We're going to take those profits..."

Especially when all those taxes will only be passed along to you, me, and the truckers who bring the food in who will then pass it on to the shippers who will pass it on down the line until it comes around to bite us AGAIN!!!

Of course, I'm just sick of politics in general. Just look at where the term comes from - poly -> many & ticks -> blood sucking parasites !
