Millett vs. Mueller Optics

I need advice on two different optics to plan atop my M14. As much as I'd like either a Zeiss (first choice) or a Leupold (second choice)... I will have to "settle" for a possible lesser optic.

Here is what I am looking at:

Millett Tactical Riflescope BK81001 w/ FREE UPS Rifle scope

Mueller Eraticater 8.5-25 X 50mm Red Dot Rifle Scope | The Masked Merchant

Does anyone have either of these scopes and if so, would you feel that they would hold their own on an M14? If so, has anyone seen these elsewhere for a better price?

Thanks in advance...

Mueller Scopes, THE APV & 8X25 ..

i have never fired that weapon with the dot turned on.

i put my target directly on top of that 1/8 MOA dot.

The TRS-1 has been a huge success for Millet. It's a great scope for the money with glass on par, if not a little better, than a Leupold VXII. If you're looking for a scope with a tactical look and a great illum. reticle give the TRS-1 a look. The adj. in mine repeat perfectly and I really wind the minutes up and down with my 223...I don't baby the scope at all. The picture is still crisp at 16X with plenty of eye relief. For such an economically priced optic with so many features...there should be faults...but I really find it difficult to find any fault with it.

yeah isnt it great that optics are getting much better everyday and at the same time the prices are dropping?
10 years ago my mueller would have cost $1000!
