just in from the gun shop. They said everything was fine.Just to be safe I bought an m44 to test and see if I have result on the casings of the same type ammo. But either way I've got anther mosin ,so I can't go wrong.

do they make japanese mosins with hex recivers. I saw one today with japanese markings

Now that... I have gotta see. Please take pictures. If they are Japanese then you have a very rare rifle indeed. Chinese or (North) Korean markings... well ok. Japanese markings... uh, probably not.

Never seen Japanese Markings...Could have been Chinese...Those seem to be rare rifles...But not expensive..

My japanese and chinese are both a little rusy. So my guess is it was chinese.Are they rare.

I have never seen one (Chinese or Korean) and the Korean versions are stil in use (up North), so yeah I would think they are pretty unusual.
