His name became part of my vernacular when I saw "The Ten Commandments" back in 66 or 67. God bless him. The NRA lost a real trooper tonight, also.

One of the great ones. As far as Hollywood is concerned, he's right up there with John Wayne in my book. As we all know he did a most excellent job as President of the NRA.
He will be sorely missed in the pro gun rights arena.

All I can say, I'm right there with you Mr. Heston, "out of my DEAD cold hands" as well my friend...

On a good note, we can look forward to seeing all of his great movies being played for the next couple weeks or more. That's a +...

I know he'd been sick for quite some time. Thankfully his suffering is over.

Who will fill his shoes? To find someone who "has character" as oposed to "being a character" has become all but imposible. He will be missed. I think I"ll rent the mountain men and remember him and Brian Keith this weekend. God Bless.

Its odd, but all week I`ve been thinking: I really wanna see the Ten Commandments.

In my book...he now joins such immortals as John Wayne, James Cagney, Alan Ladd, and Jimmie Stewart, and belongs to the ages. I grew up with his movies, he will be missed on this end.

Seeing this makes me that much more glad that I was able to go out shooting in the mountains with my friends mid-day Saturday. Almost like an unknowing tribute to a Legend's passing.

RIP, you will be missed.
