My 1941 Izzy 91/30
Realized I have never taken a pic of it...
1941 Izzy
All number stamped matching (even bayonet)
Took acetone to the stock...stripped off old flaky varnish
3 coats of minwax red mahogany...3 coats tung oil finish...my favorite Nagant
Ex.cond barrel (about 98%

It matched very well. I did not use tung oil though.I don't know much about refinishig wood.So I went with something I knew.DuPont automotive clearcoat.Now it's so glossy I cant see the target for all light shinning off of it. But it looks nice

Tung oil finish gives a nice dull sheen...
