Now, now... just relax (and please lose the caps, even though they were appropriate to imply your excitedness). I'm sure that knightRider or many of the other FAL owners here have experienced something similar and can give you a hand here. I'll bet there's just a lever or some-such that needs pressing or 'finaggling' with a tool to release it.

I'll do a quick search online for this issue and see what I can't find (I don't own one, so I'm not really familiar with the inner workings).

Oh, and welcome to the "Friendliest Gun Forum On The Internet".

Edit: this disassembly tutorial may help you figure out on your own what may have gone wrong: Collecting and Shooting the FAL Rifle - Rifle Disassembly and Reassembly

Click01.
Years since I've had to strip a Fal, so I'm sitting here typing with eyes closed trying hard to remember!!

So you've got the bolt assemble out?
If It is still jammed, I assume the top cover is still in position, check the charging handle is fully forward (Not sure if this can cause your prob or not), magazine is out of course; sit down, hold rifle across knees, grip the top cover through the ejection port with left hand and make sure it is as fully forward as it can go, use your right thumb to pull back on the release lever whilst pressing down at the same time.

These thing are built to be soldier proof, so it's got to be something simple???
