I have to apologize for my ranting! I thought you went to R Guns and picked it out! I will not buy guns from them, and wrote them a letter asking to stop billboard stamping these old girls. I found a georgeous M91/30 Hex and snatched it up to buy, only to find that it was an R Guns rifle. I was just too pissed to talk!

I understand what you mean. Did you get a response from them?

That's quite impressive. I mean, I wake up and there is wood but not a whole CORD!

Wait. Are we talking about the same wood?

haha!

Question, I read that while having a V8. Can someone please tell me what the best way to get tomato juice out of a previously perfectly good keyboard.

I understand what you are saying. BUT, sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. My Tula m44 has the Rguns stamp. Nice gun, not counterbored, serves me Vodka tonics at night and doesn't snore. Gets kinda loud at times though.
Just dont make it mad.

It's really a sticking point with me! I do not buy milsurps that have these big giant importer's markings on them. If everyone stopped buying them and wrote or emailed them why, then they would stop doing so. I'm trying to find out thru the BATFE exactly what the requirement is. I know I have bought two milsurps a long time ago that the importers mark was under the woodline. Have not seen it that way since.

Can someone turn the light on for me? What does counter bored mean exactly?

True rifling is supposed to reach all the way to the crown, which is the very end of the muzzle. Through excessive use rifling can get very worn and uneven. If the top of the barrel has more rifling extened toward the end than the bottom, or vice versa, the projectile will leave the barrel unevenly making it less accurate, because of the awkward spin. Counterboring is when a gunsmith drills into the muzzle until he hits a spot where all the rifling matches up.

I believe this is what it is. I just learned this so please, anyone, correct me if I am wrong.

I'm interested in seeing a picture of a gun with this 'billboard' on it. Anyone got one to share?

Never did this before so let's see if it works. Here's a stamp off my 91/30. I bought it from S.O.G. but the importer is R. Guns.

How high are your expectations for $80-$100.

We are all actual owners, and we think they are worth every $. Buy one and see.
I understand I'm not paying big bucks Geo. That's not what I was asking for. I was talking about this specific model from this seller. The descriptions are one thing but not always the level truth. I wanted his opinion. And I have a few Mosins but not this one. As for the 80-100 bucks, why use it to buy a "fair" gun when I can get a "nice" one somewhere else? Just asking for his opinion.

Some of the Czech stuff is marked 7.62x59, instead of 7.62x54. No one ever told me why.
