Smile 91/30 bolts...

I was google Imaging "Mosin 91/30" and half the Mosins had straight bolts, the others had bolts bent downwards. I read about the bent bolts you can buy, but did they ever make the 91/30s with bent bolts already on?

YES but they were pulled off the assembly line and modified as a sniper not mass produced and you pay a premiem price for one that cant even be verified that its a true sniper!! The only sniper I would belive to be real is in a musuem in Russia
but I again stand corrected they are 91x30s with bent bolt .. I think I will go to bed only got one out of three right tonight

Goodnight Marion. Sleep tight, and don't let the Mosin bent bolts bite.

Finn M39's have production bent bolts, some came without. M91/30 Snipers came with bent bolts. You don't really need a bent bolt in a mechanical way unless you have a scope mounted in a conventonal manner. However, I believe that it makes the Mosin more of a "fingers-off" bolt. Good shooters on bolts use more of a "cupped hand" to cycle bolt action rifles.

What advantage does using a cupped hand give the shooter, Steve? Faster? Improve accuracy? Looks cooler? Does it impress that hot little trap girl?

Serious question actually.

I'll have to try it. Especially on the K31.

I care more about impressing the girls than I do speed, Swede. Remember, my motto is "if you hit what you are aiming at the first time you don't need a quick follow up shot."

Hey Tex! The receiver cover got here! Thanks! AAAAND, my Mosin Receiver came too! Now I have an awesome M38 bbl, complete set of MOJO Snap Sights, a true M38 stock w/ all hardware, a complete mag and trigger group, and most of the bolt (to include a bent bolt), and all the accessories.
