I think you should go for it. Love may only happen once in a lifetime.

Wish I could sell my farts for $5.00 each. I'd be a rich man...

Time to cut bussing. Make all those kids walk to school 10 miles uphill both ways thru 10 feet of snow..... Would be a quick way to eliminate Childhood Obisety....

How about a mountain bike for every student and they must use it to ride to/from school?

Would be cheaper for tax payers than the cost of gas, upkeep on the busses, paying drivers, etc...and like you said, it would aid the health crisis.

Only problem is I lived 20 miles from school in the country so it was dark and then I would have to ride along a major state highway. Can you say unsafe.

So build a 2-3 foot wide asphalt bike trail along-side the highway. In the end, it'll save money.

20 miles one way might be a tad extreme.

Just in case anyone hasn't figured it out yet, gas will never...never be like it was a few years ago, the days of prices under $2 are gone forever. So get used to it...it really sucks, but that's just the way it is from now on. The demand is getting higher every day, and not just from this country, India and China are beginning to get ahead of us in daily consumption. Also, although they will never admit it...Saudi Arabia has passed peak production. I barely remember it, but isn't the U.S. passing peak production what caused that gas crisis in the early 70's? This country and many others need to break open plan B for vehicular energy needs like Brazil did...how much will we be able to afford to pay for gas for our vehicles? OPEC isn't going to release any more since the dollar is falling in value, and all anyone is left to do is fight over the oil. I hope and pray that something gets done soon, cause this is affecting us now, and won't be getting any better...and gas here in the U.S. is cheaper than many countries...for now. we'd probably be better off without oil at all. Less war since that's a big reason many are fought, and less pollution. So what can we do?

Its not that fuel is going up in value. Our dollar is going down because of inflation. Answer, the government will have to stop inflating(pumping worthless paper money into the economy) and when inflation stops, we will have the worst depression in history. Then we need to bring back precious metal currency that is actually worth something! Our economy is incapable of ever getting better until we have another depression and bring back real money and keep it real. Can you blame other countries for not wanting to trade goods for pieces of paper with ink on them?
