I keep thinking about the idea of getting into reloading. The problem is that I am not sure I shoot enough to justify it. In February I bought 600 rounds of ammo and now I have 375 rounds left. Most of the range time is spent working out the old mil surps with mil surp ammo. Hard to beat the prices of 22 cents a round.
OH wait, that doesn't count the 300 rounds of sks ammo I burned through. Dang I love those putt putt rifles!

I guess for me, the reason I'm getting into it is not only for those reasons, but let's face it, the price of ammo probably won't be coming back down anytime soon; And if it follows suit like everything else, it will stay high. So the savings of reloading will have to be even greater then it is now. Factoring that in with ability to tailor/precision make ammo, for me will be well worth not enjoying it. lol

i can recall when i first started shooting that i would buy a box of 38's..... maybe two..... id be all ready for the weekend.... now when i go shooting i take up usually a thousand rounds or more of various calibres..... i consider reloading to be very very cheap, especially as i shoot several calibres that are obselete or semi obselete..... very expensive to shoot if you dont reload ..... these obselete caalibres are usually not as powerful as the more modern ones, dont kick as much..... i have a shoulder replacement on my right shoulder, so i consider that this is a + for me personally, and also it doesnt intimidate these modern young people as much...... all not possible if i didnt reload..... i think reloading is a really essential part of learning about the guns i shoot..... it rounds out the hobby
i guess there are less expensive hobbys though.... but eating popcorn and watching sitcoms on tv doesnt really appeal to me much.... my 2 cents
