This sort of thing is rather common according to my step-mother, she is a troubled youth counselor in Portland Oregon. The "troubled youths", P.C. for scumbag gang banger, rapist murderers and the like. She explained to me one time that this is done commonly to perpetuate the gang from the inside. These babies are raised learning only gang lifestyle. They are used as mules to run drugs, used for prostitution, used for violence, used to expand their army! They know no remorse for their criminal behavior due the environment they are raised in, their sense of right and wrong are contrary to commonly accepted social behavior.

Gangs have their own society, this is a tool to maintain that society so that they can more easily prey on our society and themselves.

Well, it's obvious, to me, that the parents are the product of a underprivileged childhood. Not being taught right from wrong is not their fault. The real blame lies at the feets of this modern day society. I'm sure that the parents are utilizing all the all the public programs available, in an effort to better their family situation. These people are just a glimpse of what happens when the government does not offer more taxpayer funded social assistance to the struggling masses. JB

I may be wrong,but some folks may have missed the point of the original post.
A kid with a father and mother of different races face a delema of which gang to put the kid in,not wether or not to have their kid in a gang.
If both parents were of the same race they would not have to face that delema of which gang.

I am SURE they ARE using all the public programs available, what better way is there NOT to take responsibility for oneself than relying on the taxpayer.

Placing the blame on modern day society is . I sure was'nt raised in a privileged home by any stretch of the imagination. I am not a criminal, I am not the father of any illegimate children, nor do I belong to a gang. I have an education, a wife and own my home, my own business. I have never used public assistance.

Parents and peers teach the younger the difference between right and wrong.

Read my prior post for some real insight. It is not BS by any means. It is info passed to me by a professional with a doctorate, who counsels dirtbag youth such as those in the news story,In a major U.S. city, on a daily basis.

The responsibility of raising offspring lies solely in the hands of the parenting body and family members from one generation to the next.

I have confidence that all will turn out well...After all the "No Child Left Behind" program instituted by prezident bush was created just for cases like this. If the program follows course with the rest of bush's plans, the child will turn out just fine. You must remember that for anything to have a positive effect of the outcome of it's original purpose, you must "stay the course"

... and IF they were to try it, they'd end up part of the hills... or more to the point, under them.

In my one-horse, one stoplight town, that kind of crap certainly would not fly... especially considering we are populated by mostly LEO's and farmers who take no crap... even from their own herds!
