My boyfriend's taking me out to a place that requires non-toxic shot. I'm having a difficult time finding either .410 ammo or "recipes" for reloading. After doing some web searches I came across Hevi-Shot, but the local dealers aren't carrying the stuff...This is getting frustrating.

Non-Toxic shot just means steel. Hevi-shot is the most common one used, but there are others. Look into waterfowl ammo, and you'll find tons of steel shot. I know Remington and Winchester both make a steel shot. Fiocchi makes a steel shot as well. If you can't find the particular ammo you're looking for, tryin talking to the smaller gun shops in your area. There's a good chance they'll order it special for you. I know my shop would if you were in our area. Good luck!!!
