Umm, err, if you are an LE officer in PA, why would'nt you be able to purchase a firearm in PA ? Or, why would'nt anyone else for that matter be able to purchase a firearm in PA, criminal record not withstanding ?

Probably because he doesn't want to get caught bringing a pistol into Jersey. I read on here it's horrible if you get caught and haven't got all your i's dotted and your t's crossed. I read on here the other night someone once had a problem in Jersey and basically warned others to avoid at all costs... But it is a strange question. Care to elaborate a little more? And are you a police officer or not? And if you are, I think there's be a more reliable place or person or persons for you to ask rather then here. JMO and in no way is the opinion of this forum or anyone else. lol Oh and um, yea, if you are a cop in Pa. I'd sure as hell hope you can buy a gun in Pa. lol Strange question to ask, but, I'm going to assume you were asking if you are a cop in Pa., can you buy a gun in Jersey. Id say yes, if you were/are a resident of Jersey that is. I mean just because you're a cop, or might be, I would think you should have to follow the laws just like the rest of us. Being a cop in any state shouldn't put you above the law anywhere at all.

Hmmmm, suspicous...most departments have inner recommendations on firearms buying from distributors. Why would you need to go outside of a department and as AK Hunter indicated to another state, if you are a real blue suiter?

seems mighty fishy to me. #1 your not going to be able to buy a handgun in a state your not a resident of, at least not without shipping it to an FFL in your state of residence. long guns can usually be bought in other states without problem, though you might still need a permit or whatever to be legal in NJ. if your a cop, you should probably know these laws. trollin', trollin', trollin'!

Go to your local friendly gun dealer, and ask him to bring out his copy of the state firearm laws. You will find your answer in that book. I personally, would never give legal advice about purchases, over the internet. Your local dealer can clear everthing up for you, as he works within that jurisdiction.
