Good point, years ago we used to hunt bears every spring. The last few years we hunted there Whistler was explodeing. There were mountain bikers all over the area we hunted. One spring they had the road all ribboned off with a big warning to other bikers about a very close call a couple of them had. In a lot of coastal B.C. you're a fool to be unarmed when in the mountains. There were families camped along the rivers where ever there was a place to put a truck. We counted 27 different Bears on a day and a half hunt one year.
