Also tell your buddy I like that Star Wars Storm Troopers helmet. Very cool looking.

So in the end, what is the total he has in it to date?

Not sure on the total price, but you have to figure in our 9% sales tax, since he bought it at a store, so you're already looking at an extra $72, then $50 for the carry handle/sight.

My other friend put a rail flip sight on at first which was $50, but then I turned him onto a red-dot for $40 that he wanted. He had also purchased the VLTOR quad rail foregrip and a verticle forward grip. All told, he walked out with a ~$1300 bill. I think the quad rail was pretty expensive (~$300) and if he'd have let me do what he told me to do (which was find him deals to build up the rifle) he'd probably have stayed just under $1000 for everything, but he said he wanted instant gratification at that point, so I conceded.

WOw, could have gotten a complete Stag for less then that. The lefty model I'm getting the MSRP is only $989 a.d I picked it up for a bit less. Then of course tax. But still below MSRP.

I think they still got a decent shooter though. My big problem will be finding a place to shoot mine.

Congrats on the new AR, this is a habit that requires alot of shooting, building ar's and fun.
