We got regular for 3.89 and diesel now 4.89.. The price of natural gas is supposed to be double by next winter, heating oil is now averaging 4.15 here already.

The one I bought for my son is a Honda Ruckus, and it tops out at 45 MPH, just fast enough to zip around town doing errands. It cost a little over $1200.

Actually, $695, for that one you showed CrazyIvan isn't a bad price at all in my book...

Danger, clear and present

The billions of profits to big oil are a greater threat to the American
life that Osama and his group.

We are near the tipping point when many activities will shut down due to the cost of fuel.

Gas just climbed 10 to 13 cents a gallon here in the last two days.

I have a couple riding buddies who have the larger scooters - the 250s and 500s are quite capable of highway travel. The big 650 Super Scooters will do 110MPH! They outrun my KLR650 Dual Sport! But I can go places they can only dream . . .

With the ever-rising gas prices, the scooters are beginning to look very good indeed!

If worse comes to worst, I have my Mountainbike road-ready! I figure when the 'juice' hits five bucks a gallon, the highways will be clear enough to risk riding the bicycle. Be a PITA during the height of a Florida summer though!
Glad my building has a shower room . . .
