irish murphy: Sir; that would be fun. Here in the states particularly, NC
Night hunting; Night Light hunting will get you in jail and confiscation of your weapon, truck, and any paraphernalia deemed a part of the event.
Exception, raccoon, and opossum as I know it.
Thanks for such a posting.

We dont even consider it hunting over here, its just shooting.I guess its a form of hunting. If we didnt spotlight the feral population would explode. Here it is again. The difference between aussie hunting and american. We shoot ferals, you shoot natives.Mostly.
i lost count many years ago of the amount of critters ive dispatched under a light.Good to hear my kiwi brothers are getting stuck into the ferals too.
down here especially on a working property spotlighting is a normal night time activity. ever since i grew up it has been a ritual at least 3 times a week. beats watching the idiot box every night

Not really even funny bloke. That stuff is up to our different govts man.I realise you are only joking. But i think its a bit defferent when we are talking about human lives bro.
Good stuff mate, now im back from holidays, I gotta do another wheatbelt trip with tosh and do some lighting again. My 22-250 is still being ackley improved though so im limited to the 17hmr. Still shooting is shooting
Had a Ball a few years ago in NSW,Victoria, and Queensland, cjasing Roos at night in VW van--also hunted goats. pigs, and Samba deer.Spent 30 days with friends i had set up with a hunting trip in Ak. Would like to get out west for some unusual game(?) you have there.
Its a winchester model 70,with the factory heavy varmint barrel. The barrel is like a axle.Very heavy and thats the way i like it.I can shoot this thing offhand very well.
Was the night before a full moon when i was out.I dont know if its that bad.We didnt see much in the way of foxes. But the property owners had laid 1080 around the place 2 weeks before.Saw a heap of bunnies when the wind calmed down a bit.I will say i have noticed full moon nights animals are a bit more skittish.

Have heard of a few people being killed by them, tourists mainly, the poor buggers never knew what hit them.
Heres a news article from a few years ago in the canberra times news paper.
Today a man was attacked and killed by a falling drop bear. The attack happend as the man was walking through lady denman park in canberra.Eye witnesses say the man never had a chance as the dropbear was so big and aggressive.Onlookers ran for their lives as the bear wasnt happy with just one meal and started to look for another. The drop bear was eventually shot after a 6 hour search of the area, the australian armys special forces were called in to dispatch the animal.Residents of the nearby appartment complex say they heard many shots fired and lots of screaming and yelling. The bear was only young to and could have done a lot more damage.
None of the special forces crew were seriously injured, just some major scratches and bites.Im irish murphy reporting to you from canberra.
hahahahahhahahahahhahah
