About 4 or 5 yrs. ago. My 69 has a "tweaked" 502 under the hood plus a lot more stuff. Yeah, she stands up when I launch! What a rush!

Yep. It's a Street and Strip. I'll take some pictures and post. It still has the AC. Hell, it's hot here in Memphis!

No, that's not mine. By the sound, it was probably a small block. Probably a 383 stroker with a standard tranny.
Mine has a built, turbo 400 with a 3:83 rear end. It's not a 12 bolt, if that's what your wondering. I'll send some pics when we find the camera. We just moved and I can't find anything.
The car in the video is similar and runs about the same time that mine does........ but I have plans.........Drop the compression to 8-1 and put a blower on it. Add some NOX and get my hp up to around.......LOL!

BB, I finally let go of the '69 I bought while in the service, in 1997. The kids were wanting to drive it to school, and I got tired of arguing about it. It had the factory 396, with factory high rise, and quadrajet four barrel. I beat a whaletail Porsche over the Grapevine with it, and the guy was amazed. The Grapevine is the pass on I-5, from the Central Valley, to L.A., in Southern Ca. That old car could run!! The first time CGO drove it to her folks', she came home all shook up, and said she didn't want to drive it anymore. Fond memories are all I have left of it, but after twenty-some years,it was time to let go!
I would have told the kids that if they could outshoot you they could drive it, but if they wrecked, got one ticket, or any scratches on it, they could pay for a "new" 1969 SS in 100% condition :-D
Love chevs and the camaro.Back in the hay day qwe had one here in the touring car championship driving by kevin bartlett. He is famous for rolling it going up the mountain at bathurst.
Brother Bob, talk to me before you add your blower, I have many years of experience with high end blown and turbo engines, had my own dyno etc. I can give you a ton of advice from peak performance to longevity.
