I have a Romanian SKS that doesn't eject all the time. Sometimes the bolt moves back a little but the round doesn't eject. The bolt seems to move pretty smoothly with no rounds. Is this a chamber problem? I don't believe the barrel is chrome lined. Is this normal for a Romanian? The bolt number doesn't match the gun.

What do you use to clean the chamber? I've tried a chamber brush from a M1A with gun cleaner. Is there a better way?

take your rifle apart and check your gas tube .. and romainans are suppose to be chrome lined.. some one will correct me if I am wrong i bettca LOL

I would say it could be dirty chamber issue, especially if, like most people, you shoot Wolf a lot. The old lacquer Wolf is worst at crudding the chamber up. I think last time I really cleaned my chamber I used a .410 bore brush. I don't shoot mine as much as most people, so I don't clean it as often. I'm sure there are better ways to get it, I'm just not familiar with them. Also as Marion said, the gas tube should be cleaned fairly often.

No only can your chamber be cruddy from lacquer buildup over time,throw in the mixture of powder residue due to the fact that steel case ammo doesn't expand like brass and the possibility of some small bur in the chamber.

I like to pack the chamber with several patches saturated with bore solvent or lacquer thinner or finger nail polish remover let it sit for awhile and work. Then chuck one of you cleaning rods up in a cordless drill attach your copper bore brush something a little bigger than the chamber like a 20 Ga. or 40 Cal brush remove the patches and spin it around in the chamber for a few minutes.

Swab it out with some clean patches and repeat if necessary,you can also take some fine steel wool 000 works great and work it into your brush to polish the chamber dip your brush in a little solvent before you do this. Clean the chamber good then try a few rounds to see if the problem still occurs.

i haven done this but it sounds like a good idea to me!

I'll give this advice a try. The gas tube is clean. I'll try cleaning the chamber with the bigger brushes and steel wool and let you know if it helps. I've never shot Wolf ammo through this gun, but I did buy it at an auction and it was not in the best shape.
