On April 14, 2008, the Secure Acess to Firearms Enhancement Act of 2008 was introduced into the house of Representatives as HB 5782. This bill if passed by House and Senate would allow a lawful Concealed Carry Permit holder to carry in any State subject to the laws of the carriers permit State. I would love to be able to carry in any State but this will have to be done by reciprocity with the States. To do it by Federal Mandate is usurping the States Rights. I will have to ask my Congressman to Vote No on this bill.

The Federal gov't did away with states rights in April of 1865!

Yeah, but I don't think the states collectively could ever agree to a law like this..
Personally I think it would be great, as I live close to the NY border and its
a real pain in the neck not being able to cross over.
