It is estimated that in 7 to 10 years the OIL will PEAK, meaning the WORLD demand will be even with the World production. As long as China and other countries INCREASE their Oil needs, the U.S. wil have to pay the higher prices, if they want it. In about 7 to 10 years it is predicted you will start to see wars break out over it and economies fall. It is only to get worst, you can't keep burning it at the rate we have been, it is a NON RENEWABLE RESOURCE.

Oil is a commodity and SOLD to the HIGHEST bidder and the U.S. is not guaranteed to recieve any that they don't pay for. Want part of these so-called HUGE profits? Then you too can invest in oil and enjoy the profitable years and when it is time to do more drilling, build more frieghters, platfor,s, refineries, etc, then you to will watch your stocks drop. There are good years and bad years. China has increased their Oil needs by over 40% in the last 6 years. We have increased OUR by alomost 50% since the 70s embargo.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) – Gasoline prices in the United States, which have recently hit record highs, are actually much lower than in many countries. Drivers in some European cities, like Amsterdam and Oslo, are paying nearly 3 times more than those in the U.S.

The main factor in price disparities between countries is government policy, according to AirInc, a company that tracks the cost of living in various places around the world. Many European nations tax gasoline heavily, with taxes making up as much as 75 percent of the cost of a gallon of gasoline, said a spokesperson for AirInc.

In a few Latin America and Middle-East nations, such as Venezuela and Saudi Arabia, oil is produced by a government-owned company and local gasoline prices are kept low as a benefit to the nation's citizens, he said. All prices updated March, 2005.

"Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton confirmed Monday that as president she would be willing to use nuclear weapons against Iran if it were to launch a nuclear attack on Israel.

Clinton’s remarks, made in an interview on MSNBC’s “Countdown With Keith Olbermann,” clarified a statement she made last week in a Democratic presidential debate in Philadelphia. In that debate, Clinton, D-N.Y., said an Iranian attack on Israel would bring “massive retaliation,” without defining what the phrase meant.

In the interview Monday, Clinton affirmed that she would warn Iran’s leaders that “their use of nuclear weapons against Israel would provoke a nuclear response from the United States.”

She said U.S. allies in the Middle East were being “intimidated and bullied into submission by Iran,” raising the prospect of an “incredibly destabilizing” arms race in the region.

“I can imagine that they would be rushing to obtain nuclear weapons themselves” if Iran were to develop a nuclear arsenal, she said.

Clinton said it was vital that the United States create a new “security umbrella” to reassure Israel and its other allies in the region that they would not be threatened by Iran. She said she would tell them that “if you were the subject of an unprovoked nuclear attack by Iran, the United States, and hopefully our NATO allies, would respond to that.”
