British Military create Invisible Tank (News Link)

Hmm...Invisible to the naked eye. I suppose you'd still see it on radar, infrared or heat sensing devices however...

Pretty awesome though. Now I'm scared though...

And, just an added link in the news story to this:

Optical illusion. Magicians do it all the time...And as you can see in the Fox news link you left, they can't do anything about or with the dirt/dust trail a tank leaves/causes when they are a rolling.

The biggest problem with true optical camouflage is that the image doesn't track with the background if your POV on the object shifts. Right now they can make an object project its background on its front (whichever side the front is at any given moment), but if you move to the side of the object, the illusion is ruined.

Optical fibers that can be placed over a surface to send light from back to front from any direction are still in development.

It's still very impressive, but we're not quite to Ghost in the Shell camo yet.
