| Amarksman, The best thing any shooter can do is try to read up or "experience" as many optics choices as they can, before making that purchase. There are lots of quality scopes out there, many for very good prices/values. I've done a lot of studying and reading... and looking, in the last 4 - 5 yrs and have purchased over 40 good quality scopes in that timeframe that include: Zeiss, Burris, Nikon, Bushnell(Elite), Pentax, Weaver and Leupold, with most being multiple purchases of each of them. I found that the Midway USA site has excellent info and also reviews on most popular brands and models. Beware of someone who's not purchased a scope in 5-10 yrs as things have changed..a LOT! Read up, take a day and look at a bunch at a Bass Pro, or Cabela's or similar vendor. When it's time to buy... spend an evening on the internet and look at prices. I have saved over 50% simply by shopping on the internet...... FIFTY PERCENT! Now, the first thing you need to know is what type scope....low, medium or high power you want/need! Best of luck to you! |
