Wh ere did you find an RV that old, that's still usable? That's gotta be a record! I've heard of 'em, but have no idea where you can find info, other than the internet.

1976? Wow. Older than me! hehe. How you going to keep up the cashflow to fuel that bad boy?

In any case, Call GM, they may be able to help you out.

The Google route is a good one though...However, I did a preliminary search and didn't come up with much.

But, a 1976 Citation was a Chevy Car from what I can find, similar to a Buick Skylark kinda... Although "Citation" was a class of motorhome. I found it attached to some Ford RV's from the 80's. So who knows.

See if you see your model on this website:

You might try contacting GM directly. Speak to a GM dealer and get the name, address and phone number of a service department exec who deals with RVs, then write him a letter and ask if someone could make you a copy of the vehicle manual, and how much would that cost, please? Chances are they will do it because it's such an unusal request, for a manual on a 30 year old RV.

Is it a class A or C? A class A should have a 454 bbc engine with a T-400 transmission and a corporate differential. A class C should have a 400in sbc and the same running gear.

You might check on the RV.net website - somebody probably owns or owned one and can answer questions.
Chevy had no "Citation" car that early - it came out in the early 80s, if I recall. One of the ill-fated 'GM-X' platform cars. POS from the beginning, though I bet somebody still likes theirs....

i am really pleased that it is as simple as it gets to work on cause it is an older RV. and it's not in bad shape at all.

it's a class a. it has the 454/t400 combo just like you said. the odd thing, it's dual duty, propane and gas on the engine. weird. i can't tell if it's a factory job or aftermarket. i would suspect aftermaket if i had to guess though.

thanks Apollyon, what kind of info do you want? as you see in the pic thats all i got. a big kinda white box with wheels and the name citation on it. the frame tag is in the rad cradle, i found that much. and i do think it's a P30 frame by the way, just not positive.

struck out on RV net, but thanks for passing on the leads. as for the x-car, can't hardly argue with you there.

okay simple words here all that is GM on that rascal is the power train and frame, (engine, running gear yadda yadda) other than that every thing else is the RV builders doing. You're best course is a search for the parent company that produced the Citation line. The Missus and I have a 72 Titan so we kin feels yer pain don't give up the info can be found I assure you.

Wow, OK Troy. Have you looked at the second link yet to see if it will help you? Thats all I know to help you with your new home. EZ has got the right of it. Join a few RV sites. A real good Mechanic is what you will need to fix that piece of machinery. I say mechanic, not parts changer. Bring it on down here. I will work on it for food. Scratch that, the last fella I asked down here spent 3+ months in the pokey. I will come there. I will keep a weather eye out for a paper manual. Good luck with her.

LOL! most of the stuff on the old girl works and the stuff that don't will not be too much of an issue for me to do on my own. i was just trying to find a little history on it. i joined a couple of forums and not much is happening there either, but i haven't given it much time. apparently one lead was a manufacturer names bendix, cant find anything on them either. thanks for keeping an eye open for me, much appreciated.
