6 points for Arizona + we have Sherrif Joe Arpio we are doing OK. Alaska may be ahead but that's just how it is.

The whole shoot first policy where our dope head cops can shoot as a first resort in public tickeled me.

Strength of gun laws as judged by the 'brady bunch':

ND scores 4 points. Coupled with the lowest crime rate in the nation, it makes one wonder if 'paradoxical' is in their lexicon. I would hazard a guess that most of the lower numbers given by Brady in this rated category translate to lower crime rates. Which, come to think of it, is what the criminologists have been finding over the last 30 years. e.g., John Lott: More Guns, Less Crime. 40 States enact CCW laws, significantly reduce their crime rates. What part of Empirical (as in evidence) don't they understand? One thing is certain, Brady's real agenda has nothing to do with crime. Unless they've all got 'STUPID' stamped on their foreheads.

Too many points for Nevada - we DO have preemption here! And to think they'd give us 11 points!!!

Other than that, I'd still like to see a few things straightened out such as a law allowing employees to have a firearm in their car while at work.

Something's funny about this pic - Is it just me or should there be more "High Profile" shootings in places like Alaska and Nevada considering how loose our gun laws are (at least according to the Bradys' way of thinking)? I mean, come on - only one in Arizona and four in Texas in 11 years? This is what they consider marketing???

And then there's this one - Isn't this what happens when there's nobody there to stop some lunatic?

And to think that some people like statistics that are newer than four years old or at least take population into account. I must be too demanding. It just seems wrong to this American to compare the total number of whatever crime in the US to the countries listed here. It's like comparing the number of drunken driving fatalities in the U.S. to the number of drunken driving fatalities in Luxembourg - they've got less people in the whole of Luxembourg than we do in Las Vegas! Without even questioning the definition of "murder" here (it can be wacky at times) and assuming a population of 300,000,000, this equates to .000037813 of the population or about .004% I like those odds - and I'm used to gambling, too! Funny they never compare this to car wrecks, other violent crimes, or even accidental drownings I'd laugh if someone were to hack their site and while leaving all other content alone, post some other true statistics to compare these with. Say something like number of people killed per year due to medical mistakes or infection acquired while in the hospital!

I like Nevada - for the most part Nevada trusts the citizens. I'm sure glad I don't live over the border in California anymore!!!

I don't like the Brady Campaign or anyone else who uses intentionally deceptive or misleading statistics to bolster their case for anything !

Have fun !
