The TOZ-99 is a NEW production 22LR semi-auto target rifle. It has a free-floated barrel and sights adjustable for windage and elevation. The receiver is grooved for scope mounts and is in a beautiful wood stock. Available accessories include spare five and ten round magazines, a sight adjustment tool and owner’s manual. New in the box

It's simply the Semi-auto sister to our beloved TOZ-78 bolties. Good price for a basic sporter. The sights are far too clunky to call it a 'match rifle', and the barrel is too slender. But, I bet it'll stand right up there on the line with a box-stock Ruger 10-22.
Looks like it uses the same mags as the TOZ-78 too. Same crappy stock finish. The Russians are nothing if not predictable!
Wish the ad/page said how many rounds it holds. Might be worth getting to plink some .22lr ammo?
Or should I stick with the Ruger 10/22 with walnut stock and an 18/18.5" barrel in a near by shop for $220 + tax? Not buying it at Walmart now. Is that too much?

is that for one with a stainless barrel or somthng special like that? i got mine for $179.
No, not stainless. Just blued with walnut furniture and drilled and tapped for a scope. I think this is the one here. The only thing that looks different is the front sight, but for the most part, this is the one they had for $220.00 and I see the MSRP on it is $261.00. Ya' know what gets me about this shop, I've done business with him. I just don;t get the greeting I think I should when i haven't seen him in a while or even if i have for what I've spent there ya' know. I mean I'm not wanting my A$$ kissed or anything special but a smile and hey, how you been would be nice. It makes me want to go elsewhere. So I'm already pricing it elsewhere. Just wanted to know what the helpful and friendly people here thought.

i know what you mean about the greeting, ill gladly pay a bit more to somone that makes me feel welcome in there shop.
and is that a extended mag release on the bottom?! way cool i had to buy mine seprate! well i think that the 10/22 is well worth the $220, but i dont want to see you pay more than you have to. id shop around.
From everything I have read about them, they do use the same mags as the toz-78. And I totally agre bigdog, they feel really cheesy and plastic, but mine have held up great as well!
