I Love to deep sea fish. When I was growing up my Dad and I used to go out every other weekend weather permitting during the summer months. Caught mainly King Mackerel, Jack Cravelle (sp), sharks and Mahi Mahi. I loved just being out there. Fishing was secondary. Just the challenge of piloting a small boat in the open Gulf was enough for me. Now, the expense is way too much to go. Love it though. May get another chance soon.

If I could figure out a way to get paid for it, that's all I would do.

I was vacationing on Mexico's coast one summer and watched someone catch on of those. It was at that moment I decided to stay out of the...uh... "cantina's" for the rest of my life!

Spawning with underage carp while at family reunions has been declared to be "Stautory Carping" by all 50 states!

He must of caught that one in spawning season. I live around some local lakes and the San Marcos river. Been catching good size bass on plastic worms. Have two friends with a boat and use of a dock and skip. Kayak fishing is excellent from 7- 10 am.

sadly I just don't haves the means to go deep sea fishing anymore, years back you could get a seat on an all day party boat for $40-50, now days you can't touch a half day for that and don't even ask what it runs for a charter boat. So I just stay in shallow water in my little tracker boat and enjoy inshore as much as possible!

The San Marcos river has some great fishing. So does the Guadalupe below Canyon. I used to love to wade the Colorado River for white bass during the run. Some great ultra light fun!

Spent a lot of time in the late 80s chasing stripers with Ken Milam's guide service. Had a lot of fun and caught some great fish.

Is Choke Canyon still producing good bass and cats?
