Sell, CGO and I was up ay 4am, watching the wildest lightning storm we've seen, yet. There was a danger of straight line winds, and tornaders. The storm caused gusts up to 75 miles an hour. Sooner shooter sent a message, and said it was pretty bad over his way. He's about 40 miles to the southwest, and caught the same storm. Yeah, it was exciting for a while. Got to go check the raiin gauge, and see what we got this time!

Were experiencing high winds right now and were expecting heavy rain today.

What's interesting to me is all the high wind were haveing this year.
I've never seen wind like I'm seeing here before.

I turned on my new weather radio minutes ago and there are wind warnings.
Although weve had some nice showers weve not had the rains like the northern parts of the state that have had serious flooding.
With all the wind were haveing down here it dries out our plants, shurbs and gardens .
We need the rain because of what the wind is doing.
When we do have a storm warning it's pass'e over quickly yet as Scotty described the Lightning was all some to say the least.
High today will be in the upper 80's.

Good morning everyone. We got some of the same storm about 3:00 A.M. It had heavy rain, hail, thunder, and lots of lightening. Now at 8:30 A.M. the sun is shining. Hope none of you got any damage from the storm. My pickup got dome hail dents. No windows broken. Hope your day gets better as the storm passes.

I tell you what we park a country mile from stores doors and walk to keep car doors from hitting our vehicles.
My wifes Durango is a 2003 model we bought new and just rolled over to 40,000 miles It would have way less miles if we hadn't let our son use it when his 1st. truck broke down several times.

Anyway though it's well insured Hail has got to be the utilment damage other than a wreck.
My wife will usaualy call me from where she works to come get her car and leave my truck so it will be in the carport in case it hails.
She should be calling any minute LOL !

Andrew we were talking earlier...The sun just came out and it was raining HARD 5 minutes ago.

No thunderstorms, but I can tell you that on Wednesday here, it was 80 degrees. Thursday (yesterday), we got a heavy rain here in Denver and it turned to snow. It snowed pretty heavily. Stuck to the ground. Turned back to rain later and melted it all though. The mountains had heavy snowstorms, the National Weather Center issued "Severe Winter Storm Warnings" for most of the high country, the mountain highways had the chain law in effect, and the North Eastern Plains of CO received a heavy snow that stuck.

I haven't seen snow in Denver in May in about 15 years.

We actually needed rain. We were getting dry because of all the wind. I survived the storm. But it looked like night for a while.

Seven dead in Arkansas. We're getting hit right now. Pray for the folks in Arkansas and the folks in the path of these storms.

Red face

If you took a lightning hit, you wouldn't be posting now - your 'puter would be dead. BTDT!
If it is thundering and lightning, turn off and unplug! The life you safe may be your computer's!

How can Colorado be in the eighties, and we down here in Oklahoma are still freezin' our tails off? We never got out of the low sixties, yesterday, and with the wind, it was cold enough to shiver your timbers! We're still in the forties this morning, but at least the wind died down.

Not with twenty to thirty mile an hour wind! The wind chill is what's killing me! And how can that state in between us be getting such nice weather? I'd love to see some eighty degree days!

That storm hit our area a couple of days ago, leaving behind a few inches of early May snow.

Today it's sunny and warmer...sure glad for the warmer part.
