Death Wish all the way. Charles Bronson is the coolest of them all. I can watch Death Wish all day.

I'm not sure I can add any to the tally so far, so let's see what I can shore up. Predator - goes without saying. Gloriously violent from start to finish and yet there's actually a good story in there. Aliens - Sci-action par excellence. Cool future-weapons, awesome Colonial Marines, and the baddest female action lead ever. The Wild Bunch - Sam Peckinpaw. Need I say more? Incredible cast, some shocking moments ("You want Angel? Here he is!") and an epic shootout finale. A Better Tomorrow - John Woo directs, Chow Yun-Fat stars. This is the movie that invented the "Gun Fu" genre. Tombstone - A little stylistic, but every actor in it is a winner. Val Kilmer's Doc Holliday is a sight to behold. And really, Kurt Russell and Sam Elliot too? Doesn't get much better. Robocop - (I don't anyone mentioned this one yet). Good story, great acting, insane violence, and an awesome satirical edge. Nonstop mayhem, crazy robots, the Cobra Assault Cannon "I like it!"...it just gets better and better. "I'd buy that for a dollar!" The Terminator - While we're on cyborgs. Again, good story, good acting, great action, and eminently quotable dialogue. I also love his shopping list. Equilibrium - Christian Bale, gun kata, awesome choreography, and an interesting story (though retreaded territory) make this one surprisingly watchable. Skip the director's other work, Ultraviolet, though. King of New York - Violent crime movie with Christopher Walken as a crime boss just out of jail taking back his territory. Also a surprisingly realistic scene of a man (played by Lawrence Fishburne, then going by Larry) going into shock after being shot multiple times. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - Perfect mix of action, drama, and comedy. With an ending that will live forever. - Coeloptera |

IIRC Chow Yun Fat and John Woo teamed up for a movie called "The Replacement Killers", -I think-. Could be having a senior moment, but it was very enjoyable.
