| +1 You really hit the head on the nail with "Words to Live By". I couldn't think of a better summary of the basic reasons to carry, and why I carry. ...and, I also carry because reloading/shooting are fun hobbies that I enjoy doing. Thanks Rich for your posting.

| Senior Member  | +1!!! Rich, that summary is right on! When I was younger, I could dish it as well as the other guy. But now, I know my limitations, and refuse to be stomped into the sidewalk, just because some jerk wants a little excercise and knows he won't get hurt, using an old man for a punching bag. Or worse, a couple of young, armed addicts looking for their next fix. I refuse to be a victim! I have survived this long, in order to enjoy the rest of my life, and not live in fear. These days, it seems there's two ways to do it, live behind locked doors, or be prepared for the worst.
