low to high capacity

Hey everyone! First post on Gun and Game...

I recently got my Class B LTC in Cambridge, MA. My question is: Since I can only purchase low capacity firearms, once I upgrade to a Class A LTC will I be able to just purchase a large capacity clip or do I have to buy a whole new gun?

Thanks for your help.

Welcome to G&G Timdog328. When you say low capacity firearms, I'm assuming that you are talking about pistols with single stack magazines that are capable of holding between 6 and 8 rounds. If that's the case, then the answer to your question is no you cannot just purchase a high capacity mag. You can, however, find single stack mags that will hold an additional couple of rounds depending on the make and model of the firearm that you choose.

Thanks for your help. As it turns out, they're going to let me re-apply for a Class A LTC for no additional charge since it's only been a couple of weeks since I got my Class B.
