Thanks a lot for the pics. The Korean War
is kinda a forgotten war. You don't hear much about it.
My grandparents neighbor was a Korean War veteran.
He never talked about it. Maybe he had bad memories.

I'm glad to see some photos of the Korean War. I had an Uncle who Served in Korea. He was U.S. Air Force, Served as a Crew Chief for F-86 Sabres. I think he was posted near Suwon, with the 16th Pursuit Squadron of the 51st Fighter Wing (distinctive "Checker Tail" markings on vertical stabs of the Sabre).

Also had a good friend in Alaska who was from West Yorks. in England who had his Dad and one of his Uncles also Served in the British Army in the Korean War.
Thanks Again.
Mark

My dad

My dad was aboard the USS Princeton at and before Inchon.Well, after mom died in 82 he married some old nag who I detested.Anyhow, he had 2 books he brought back from the Navy depicting the Princeton in battle and others. The books were so much to him and now me, now that he is gone.Problem, the old nag never gave them books to us and claims to not know about them or their whereabouts. They were great books and had ship mates names, etc, pics, just like a yearbook. I would give anything to have them or a copy. They were approx. 8 inches by 11 or so, maybe bigger and maybe an inch think. Thanks

Dad

My dad was not old enough to sneak into WW2. He volunteered as a marine at the start of the korean war. He survived the war, seldom does he talk about it though. I am lucky my dad still has his health and we will deer hunt this winter together. He turns 80 on the 3rd of December. I served during the first Iraq war.

Hey Marine1 thanks for sharing the photos. My Dad was in Korea with the 1/9 CAV. He said that afterward he couldn't stand the colour brown... Andy
