AH, you take care, and stay out of that stuff! Thanks everybody, I had to go into town, and got stuck by blinding rain. Got home a bit ago, and it's eased off. We are well prepared for the weather, after last year, but CGO gets a bit antsy, when by herself. We've got three inches of rain, so far today, and it's still coming down. That makes 17 inches since I put up the gauge, mid-March. Ya'll to the east of us, stay out of the weather, and stay home. That's what happened to me, the rain was coming down so hard, I had to stay put til it eased off. Except for the rain, we're fine. The lake seems to keep the bad stuff away, 'cept for the wind. And it do get windy in Ok.!!! Bro' Bob, looking forward to seein' you and your wife, and heck, it ain't so bad here! We ain't even got one of them storm thangs! Ya'll take care out there, and thanks again, for keepin' my wife calm!

Yes, our system works! We were right here with you, along with the angels and the prayers helped. Some day this forum is going to save lives and hopefully our freedoms.

It's a bad storm, but we'll all make it through! This forum has become a great storm center, and calming influence for folks getting the brunt of Mother Nature!

Hang in there, girl. And don't mind the TV. If you were still in California, you'd be seeing the overnight body count of accident and shooting victims...

Well the storm passed over pretty quick and left some much needed rain down here.
Fourtunitly there wasn't any Tonado's or hail that I'm a ware of.
24 or 28 people have lost there lives in Arkansas this year due to Tornados.
That is serious.
Right now it's a beautiful morning.

Up and counting, and waiting for everyone to post, and let us know they're okay. It was a woolie-booger of a storm, last night! We're still overcast, and drizzling, but the wind is gone. Can't wait to hear from everyone, and know for sure that it's okay in our little community, and have a little peace of mind. And T2K, I'll take Mother Nature over the craziness, any time. I don't miss the morning releases of highway mayhem, and carnage in the city.

Hi, AH, good to hear you're okay. And glad you have nice weather. Ours is still wet!

Seabeescotty another front was behind the first one, so I heard.
I went to bed and if there was a 2nd. one I slept through it.
I see on the Weather channel states to the east of us are haveing the bad weather we had and Tornado's .

Interesting some say the climate hasn't changed, I would argue that with them...A.H

AH, it's May, but I haven't switched to summer clothes, yet! I'm still wearing long sleeves, and jackets. It's still like winter up here! Where's that global warming Gore's been hawking? I sure could use some warm up here! Glad you all weathered this latest one, it was a doozie!

Good to hear Y'all are OK ! It's a beautiful clear day here.

The good thing about tornadoes is they're pretty localized.

It's tough to put in any kind of thing below ground where we are--soil is like a mix of clay and kinda hardening glue.......real tough to dig out even when we're planting trees and the like. So we just go downstairs in the best room we can find and look for them to miss us like they always seem to........the missus is thinking of putting in a small storm cellar or reinforced room if we build any more.

At least in the airplane I can get away from 'em most of the time.

CalifgirlinOk: Sounds like you're gonna be alright now. Glad you survived. This is tornado season here in the midwest. Two moved into my area last Thursday evening and caused havoc in my back yard and to houses about two block farther west. Luckily my house was left intact, minus a couple of boards which were riped off, when the electrical and phone service wires were jerked off due to a huge tree which came crashing down over them. Also, my other fully matured trees ended up with plenty of major limbs broken, and my redbud tree was uprooted completely.

Here's a few pics of the result tornado here in Gladstone, MO last Friday morning around 2:00 a.m.

Oxford, we're glad you and your's are okay, too. I'm starting to gather branches here that came down, during the winds. It's not as bad as the ice storm, so I'm good to go! Just got to set some fires, and it'll be nothing but memory.

Nah, we live in a pretty safe area! The rain and wind get us, but the tornaders seem to like the low ground, around here anyways. I'm too claustrophobic for an underground bunker.
