XD45 Compact Question

I recently purchased this pistol but have not yet had the opportunity to get any range time with it. I did, however, load the magazines. I have one 10 round mag, and one 11 round extended mag. When trying to insert the fully loaded 10 round mag into the pistol, I run in to quite a bit of resistance just before the mag fully locks into the mag well. I did not want to force it home and possibly damage the firearm. Remove one round and the mag will seat perfectly. Also the 11 round mag will seat perfectly when fully loaded. Possibly something wrong with the magazine, or maybe just a bit too much tension in the brand new spring that will work itself out after a little bit of time at the range?
