'Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less' campaign continues to gain momentum...



WASHINGTON, May 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- American Solutions for Winning the Future announced today that more than 100,000 Americans have now signed a petition urging Congress to immediately start drilling for oil domestically to ease gas prices. The petition is part of the "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" campaign American Solutions launched last week.

I signed it an hour ago...went up 1,000 sigs in that 30 seconds it took me to sign!

I wish 100 million . . .

. . . Americans knew about President Nixon's proposal to have the government purchase all oil and natural gas brought into America
thereby being a "one purchaser" to set our buy price for the OPEC cartel.

It would be resold (on paper) to major refiners with a set profit markup to keep oil and its products affordable for American citizens.

It went nowhere against a Demorcratic controlled House and
Senate.

True, but Nixon wasn't very well liked, or trusted, by not just the House and Senate.
