I think the Marines have enough foresight to disregard such an order.

The military followed orders in New Orleans...helped take away law abiding citizens firearms there...I'd really, really, really hate to shoot a US serviceman....

Exactly. It's rediculous.

The "story" is actually a news report from a local media outlet in Indianapolis covering the event as it takes place...one of several such "live" coverages of the event that can be found on the net.
Yeah, but what about when the "domestic enemy" is our own government running the peoples country into the crapper for their own personal gain?

Well...something needs to be done about that domestic enemy!

And, the sooner the better...and people will not be able to do so if they have their hands out toward and are dependant on that domestic enemy for sustaining them...getting unhooked from that domestic enemy as much as we can and becoming self-reliant will help in what needs to be done...when the time comes.

I've actually been given a lawful order that would have resulted in casualties... I knew enough to disregard it. I am sure they would do the same.

I'm afraid that N.O. will the the pattern they take. The Govt knows that Americans are flat fed up with their govt. I don't want to hurt no one but I will and cannot put up with domestic enemies of the people's rights. The military will need to use discretion on following unlawful orders, or it will be a sad day in America.

There really only needs to be one gas thread stating how much gas has gone up from day to day. Pred, all other gas threads created will be merged with this one.

$140 a Barrel!!!!!!!!!!

Oil is now up to $140 a barrel and Truckers are causing chaos in Europe.

Spanish Truckers have gone on strike and virtually blocked the main roads & fuel depots. Madrid is at a standstill. Spain is fast running out of fuel and food supplies are being quickly used up and hoarded.

The French, never ones to be upstaged by the Spanish, are joining in and truck convoys are going slow everywhere & disrupting road & city transport networks.

British truckers might follow soon, as they're just as pi$$ed off as the rest of Europe. Diesel fuel prices are up over 20% this year alone.

The hauliers' action follows the lead of Spanish and French fishermen, many of whom have been on strike because of the soaring price of fuel.

Some recent history:
Belgium: Fishermen clash with police at protest near EU on 4 June
Bulgaria:150 lorry drivers form convoy outside Sofia on 28 May
France: Lorries and taxis block motorway in Paris on 3 May in support of strike by fishermen
Italy: Fishermen on both coasts begin strike on 30 May
Portugal: Portuguese fishermen stay in port on 30 May
Spain: Spanish fleet begins strike on 30 May. Madrid fishermen hand out 20 tonnes of free fish to public
UK: Truck drivers block London roads on 28 May. Fishermen hold mass protest in capital on 3 June

Will the rising prices of fuel in the States result in a similar situation?

$143.00 a barrel PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!!!

Yep, time for me to order another bolt carrier group to finish up my second AR. Oil was being traded at $143 a barrel earlier, almost at $143 here in the states as I type this. Iran said it will be open season in the gulf if they are attacked, they are digging 320,000 graves along the Iraq border, reports have come out that Bush got $400 million for operations against Iran. I give it, at most, 6 months, before the corn holing of epic proportions beings....

PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME.....

Ya know, I've heard rumors that Midway USA is close to going belly up. Not for sure if those are true or not though....

Right now it's holding at $141.85. I have noticed something though. As quickly as gas went up to almost $4.00 a gallon in my area for 87, oil dropping down to around $130 a barrel and back up to $140 a barrel has done nothing to the price of gas. It has stayed at $3.89 for few weeks now.

Thats the thing though, oil has gone up and down so much over the past few weeks it's not even funny. But gas has cost the same around here at $130 as it does at $140, doesn't make much sense.

The other day I saw gas for $3.69 while all the others around were $3.89. Price gouging...On the island we've been constant at $3.87 and haven't moved in a couple weeks. It's the tourists driving up the costs.
