I would like to see a memership drive made and offer a reduced rate(s).
It would be for a limited time like magazine subscriptions.

What revenue that a special offer might generate would defray some of Chris's out of pocket exspenses.

If non subscribing members take as much pride in this site as we do and I beleive they do.
Then maybe Chris ought to consider restructchering the membership rates for a brief
period.

Also enstead of a 1 year memberships offer a 6 month, 10 months at X number of dollars as well as the standard 12 months at X number of dollars.

This is just some thoughts I've had...A.H

Those read like good suggestions, to help increase membership...

...so, the balls back in Chris' court to decide.

To grow this forum, all new folks need to be treated the same as folks that have been here for years.
This is an absolute. Without this we will lose the title this site earned so long ago, as being the friendliest...and would become the unfriendliest. With members such as the Mayor, LTS,Kodiak, and AH there is no doubt we will continue to grow at exponential growth.

To give everyone a better idea as far as site stats go:
We average 30-40 new users a day registering. Half of them post right away. Some a few weeks later, and a few never will.
-1000-1400 new posts per day
-100 new threads per day
-Average of 500 members logging in everyday

The search engines are putting about 300,000 different people on the site every month. These 300,000 are viewing about 1,050,000 pages per month.

Last year - We were averaging about 600 people per day visiting the site - now averaging 10,000. This is a growth that isn't unexplainable, but is amazing at the same time scary.

I'm sorry I haven't paid much attention to this thread as I should have. I have a lot on my plate as I move and transition back to school. There are great idea's here. The best idea's come from the people that use the site everyday Thank you all.

TexasT,
YES, your contribution makes a significant difference for good too...as the "contributions" of so many at G&G does.

I'm glad to be a small part of this group...

...and, it's like my life time membership at NRA, where a payment towards that membership is made each quarter, to help NRA stay around and help me to support the good they do for us, I make a payment, "contribution", to G&G Forum for the same reasons...

Thanks, Chris.

I'm also proud to be one small part of a Forum that has so many great members. I think that we are very lucky to have such a wide range of topics too discuss, along with that at home feel.

Thanks out to TT and all the moderators for keeping things in such good order.

A Big Thanks goes out to Chris for making all the above
possible. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for working hard to keep this this site updated and going on a daily basis.

Wow!

1,616 views and still climbing...

...and, hopefully we're also seeing an increase in contributing members.

Thanks to all who are willing and able to contribute to G&G Forum...

...I'm sure you will not be disappointed with this great forum and what it has to offer for about 11 cents per day...based on the $40 per year contribution.

I've gotta bring this thread back to the surface, in case there are those wondering how they can help G&G Forum stick around and grow...

I know longer have the time I use to have but one thing certain I will be sending you the same amount I sent last time in a few days.

Watch your mail LOL !!!

Chris if your moveing is the address I have still good ? To send my contribution too ?

BB,

Sorry about that, I had to take a break from the computer for a while...cause my wife pulled the plug, as noted in my version of the story:

MY LIVING WILL

Last night, my wife and I were sitting in the study and I said to her:

“I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug.”

She got up, unplugged the computer and threw out my drink.

Sometimes she's just too bold...

Original version compliments of Craig...

...thanks Craig.

I gotta tell ya, this G&G Forum has a lot of good to offer, and I'll just have to better regulate the time I spend here...

...for my family's sake.

Well, we won't "nag" at you about mowing the yard, emptying the trash, and any of the other domestic chores that are required of a married man. LOL!
