ARe anti-hunting states the best states to hunt?

I live in Maryland, which can be a pain in the neck for gun owners and hunters, and I have been thinking about retiring to some more hunter-friendly states. I went online and was checking out game laws in New Mexico and Wyoming, and found that they not only have very tight limits, they have lotteries to determine if you can even get a permit to hunt large game. I then compared it to Maryland.

In Maryland you can take up to 6 Whitetail deer in Region A, which consists of two western counties, and 36 Whitetail deer in Region B, which is the rest of the state, and 6 Sika deer, in Region B. Further, during bowhunting season you can harvest as many antlerless deer as you want in the five counties which are suburbs of DC and Baltimore. You can also use crossbows in those same fie suburban counties during most of bow season. I'm willing to bet that there are not a half dozen hunters who will fill those bag limits, never mind need the additional limits in the five counties.

Are there any pro-hunting states with generous bag limits? (I know about Texas and hog hunting, but how about others?) Are there other states run by limousine liberals with generous bag limits?

Remember that Texas also has waterfowl, Javalina, nearly year round small game and a huge number of Exotics. We do have the problem of there being very little Public Hunting Gound. While there are State Sponsored hunts and some State land open to hunting, with a permit, most hunting here is on private ranches and the costs can get high if you trophy hunt.

You know, I wouldn't really call these states, "Anti-Hunting." They are more anti-gun then anything. Bow hunters still catch zero flak for goin out and killing animals.

I beleive hunting is what it is. I for instance have a customer that is a avid hunter from New York and is very succeesful in his home state. Public land hunting in South Dakota atleast western SD, Wyoming and Montana is FIERCE. Private land owners have locked out the public to sponsor thier own guide services on thier own land with they have a right to but it has made public hunting in these states tough.
