I cant believe how cool all of your lead spitters are. Now I want to build a couple more 10/22's.

I didn't really trick mine out, but it's got a somewhat unusual stock that came factory.
She doesn't photograph well, but you get the idea.
The scope sucks (and is going away eventually) but that last shot shows the colors better.

Currently I don't have a very high quality picture. It's over my brother shooting it. Folding synthetic stock, bipod, 3-9X40 scope, aftermarket muzzle break. Makes the report sound pretty unique. |

Sucklead, I just ordered a Sightron for my Ruger 10/22, one of the SI series for $115.00, 3-9X40mm. I'll let you know how I like it and how it works. Sell that Simmons and get what you can back out of it and put that towards a new, better scope, or just put that one on an air rifle and buy another for that perty 10/22 you have there. lol
Maybe you should just try a good red dot on that one? Something like this maybe? The link to it is below. It's currently only $99.97 if you're not a member or $89.97 if you are... Red Dot Sights, By Mueller at Sportsman's Guide

Nice thread,
I just got/found mine 2 weeks ago, stock carbine.
I got a new barrel strap in matte, original was cracked?
I had to get the black/red cordura Ruger 10/22 embroidered rifle case by Allen USA. LOL
2 new regular 10 round ruger rotary mags, black (trying to find med banana clip in black???))
Weaver TO-9 scope base and screws, gloss (WTF all 4 holes dont line up right?)
just got new scope today Bushnell 22 rimfire 3x-9x-32mm in matte black, $49.99 I'm lovin it
Still want: harris bipod, muzzle brake & supressor, recoil pad, maybe next payday LOL
Is there a bippod that will mount on the carbine barrel strap, or should I drill my stock?
Whats a good oil for the original Ruger hardwood stock?
(I dont want to screw up this thread with me newb questions though!)

Isn't envy a sin? You guys have done some spectacular work. I'm truly amazed!!! Any thoughts on free floating the barrel as opposed to glass bedding?

Plus bedding at the rear of the receiver, you can add a pillar when you do your bedding. If properly designed, it well stop all wood compression when assembling the rifle.

Man,you guy's have some NICE 10/22's!
All I have is a box stock target model but I'm thinking about putting a Boyd's Evolution stock on it. It has a BSA Sweet 22 scope on it,and works like a charm.

which involved fabricating a brass pillar with a flange on it that runs all the way though the stock so there cannot be any wood compression.
the 10 shot group @ 50 yds.pictured was fired before bedding.
those groups have tightened up considerably.
this is a plain jane ,highly modified great shooter.
barrel diameter 1.005 in.
i will post some groups sometime.
i took it out today for the 1st time in too long.

I want to build a super stock 10/22 this winter, looking for the right rifle to start with, been slim pickin's around here this summer.

Just picked up a Green Mountain 920 barrel for $90 and a Fajen stock for it for $20 from Midway. I know it won't look as pretty as what I've seen but I'm hoping it shoots well. Midway has these on clearance right now and I figured those prices to be dirt cheap. Can't wait to put it all together.
