Question skeet shooting

Hey guys,

I was wondering what would be the best shotgun for skeet shooting. I currently use my dads Mossberg 500c 12 guage and my moms Mossberg 500 20 guage pump guns that hold about 6+1 shots. I want to get a shotgun for myself in 12 guage after I buy another Mosin But I am not sure what kind to get or what is better. I like the Mossbergs but I could go with another brand. So, is a side by side, over under, pump, or semi better for skeet? I have a nice thrower that has two throwing arms and I could throw up to 4 clays at a time, though they sometimes break and we usually only throw two.
Any input is appreciated,

Thanks

if your just throwing clay targets from your own thrower, anything that will shoot more than once will work. now if you want to venture into the world of actual trap, skeet, or sporting clays, you want a O/U, or a semi auto. from what i understand your just shooting clay pigeons, where as skeet , trap, and sporting clays are actual sports/games.

As of right now I am just trying to hit all of the clays that are flying. I can hit one that is going a little to the left of my position, rack another shell into the chamber, and hit another that is way to the right when both are fired at the same time. I would like to go a little more advanced and I am not sure if I could shoot more than two at a time with a pump but I havn't tried it yet.

The slideaction shotgun can be fired accurately about as fast as an auto-loader or double because you are more or less pulling the firearm back down to the sight picture when racking the action which is about as fast as pulling the other types back into the sight field. sam.
